Rockville Musical Theatre announces auditions for our production of CAROLINE, OR CHANGE.

Audition Details:
Casting performers ages 15+ in older teen/Adult Roles. Performers auditioning for Noah Gellman, Joe Thibodeaux, or Jackie Thibodeaux must be 10+ by the date of auditions. All roles are open and unpaid. RMT does not precast any role in any production. CAROLINE, OR CHANGE requires casting for specific race or ethnicity and includes roles portrayed by Black Female Identifying performers, White Male and Female Identifying performers, and BIPOC Male and Female Identifying performers.
Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Saturday, August 8. Further details will be provided to those invited to callbacks.
Production Dates:
This production will run October 31 and November 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 7:30pm AND November 1, 8, and 15 at 2:00pm at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre. Actors must be available for all performances and tech week. No conflicts with show dates will be accepted.
Vocal Audition: Please prepare one 30-60 second musical theatre song in the style of the show. Please do not sing a song from CAROLINE, OR CHANGE. An accompanist will be provided at auditions. Please bring your clearly labeled sheet music in a book or a binder. Please ensure that the song tells a story. Director looking for storytelling over vocal acrobatics.
Dance Audition will only be held at callbacks.

We strongly recommend that individuals sign-up for an audition slot prior to auditions.
Note: Walk-ins will be seen in order of arrival, as time and space allows. We recommend arriving early in the evening and being prepared to wait.
2) Download the conflict calendar form
Prepare to submit this calendar with your virtual audition form or bring the completed conflict calendar to auditions.
3) Fill out the virtual audition form
Virtual auditions will be accepted.
Please submit:
(1) One (1) video clearly stating your name and the song you are performing, as well as your cut following the vocal audition guidelines above. Karaoke tracks or live accompaniment are strongly recommended. Video should be submitted as YouTube link or Google Drive link. Please check file permissions before submitting completed audition form
(2) Completed audition form
(3) Provide a complete list of rehearsal conflicts. Virtual auditions must be submitted to carolineorchange@r-m-t.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3rd.
