Reading Civic Theatre is thrilled to announce open auditions for its upcoming holiday production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL THE MUSICAL. The Director, Andrew Angstadt, is seeking a large, diverse, and energetic cast of vocalists, dancers and actors of all ages (including youth roles) to bring this timeless Charles Dickens tale of redemption to life.
A perusal night will be held on Tuesday, August 25 from 6:30-9:00pm. This is a chance to review the material, learn the story and characters, and get an overview of the music. With an opportunity to meet our staff for this production…

“This version of A Christmas Carol is truly uplifting, heartwarming and will fill you with hope, change, and most importantly Christmas spirit!” says Andrew Angstadt, Director of the production. “We are looking for actors who are ready to sing their hearts out, dance with tapping, waltzing and more, and bring dynamic energy to the stage. Whether you’re an experienced performer or a young talent looking to get involved, we encourage everyone, even as a family, to come share their gifts.”
THIS SHOW IS A BIG ENSEMBLE SHOW!!! This means that the ensemble makes up most of the show! WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR DANCERS…TAPPERS NEEDED AS WELL!!
Audition Details
Who: Performers ages 8 to adult are encouraged to audition.
When: Monday, August 31 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm & Tuesday, September 1 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm – 5 Minute time spots each night and CALL BACKS Wednesday, September 2 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
Where: Reading Civic Theatre 4350 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, PA 19606.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Vocal: Please prepare the musical selections from our website (SEE LINKS BELOW).
Acting/Dancing: If called back be prepared to learn a short dance at the audition and possibly a cold read from the script.
Materials: Please bring a headshot and a theatrical resume, if available.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Rehearsals: Begin Sunday, September 14 from 1:00pm-4:00pm and will generally take place on Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30pm- 9:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm-4:00pm. More nights to be added closer to the shows.
Performances: December 4, 5 (7:30pm), and 6 (2:00pm) & December
11, 12 (7:30pm), and 13 (2:00pm) at Reading Civic Theatre.
