The Theatre Group @ Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City, NJ is a 4 week summer intensive program for children aged 4-15. Each July, students work four days a week, three hours a day to prepare a “one night only” performance of a junior version of a musical. Our past performances have included Moana Jr, and Descendants the Musical. This year, our cast heads to 1933, in the depths of the Great Depression to spread some joy to one and all! We have ten beloved orphans, ranging in age from 13 to our “Baby” aged 2, as well as a spectacular “adult” ensemble, ages 9-13 who work at the mansion, roam the streets of NYC and even sing on the radio. Rounding out our cast is everyone’ favorite red-headed orphan ANNIE, age 11, her adorable dog Sandy, age 6, the villainous Rooster and Lily ages 14 and 12, loving Grace, age 15, millionaire with a heart of gold Daddy Warbucks, age 12 and the iconic villain Miss Hannigan, age 15. For some of our cast, this is their stage debut while others have been performing for over ten years now.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 13 and under. Tickets can be reserved by emailing Sarah Barbi, Director at sbarbi@hudsoncatholic.org and payment is taken at the door in form of cash, venmo or zelle.
