THE OLD LADIES BAR

Tues. & Thurs. July 7th & 9th from 6pm – 9pm
Sat. July 11th from 10am – 12pm
Callbacks: Tues. July 14th from 6pm – 9pm
Characters:
1. Peaches – an African-American female bartender who owns and operates The Charlene & The Mister Bar, 50s – 60s
2. Freddie Mae – an African American female. She is plotting a little scheme to get the girls back together, 50s – 60s
3. Lettie – an African American female; she is feisty, loud, and a sex kitten of sorts ; 50s – 60s
4. Mary Alice – an African American female, playful and funny, a cutup and storyteller; 50s – 60s.
5. Wanda – younger, African American female ; Freddie Mae’s quick witted and smart mouth niece who use to work part-time for Peaches; 19 – early 20’s
*Actors should memorize, or at minimum be familiar with, their character’s monologue.*

Please note that auditions will be videotaped for review by the production team.
Actors will be asked to state their name and which character they are auditioning for that purpose.

September 18–27, 2026
Fri. & Sat. at 8:00 PM • Sun. at 2:00 PM
Rehearsals:
Begin Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Rehearsals will be held on weekday evenings, with some weekend rehearsals as needed.
All rehearsals and performances will take place at Players Guild of Leonia.
