by Patricia Bradford

Old Academy Players proudly presents YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, the 1967 Tony Award winning musical by Clark Gesner. This hilarious, fast-paced, light-hearted family musical filled with all the adorable characters created by Charles Schultz over sixty years ago, is directed by Annie Hnatko. Show dates are April 22, 23, 29, 30, May 1, 6, 7, and 8, 2016. The play is produced by Steve Hnatko.

They are all here! Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Patty, Schroeder, even that little red haired girl, and especially, the benighted, put upon, lovable Charlie Brown — all the characters still syndicated daily in hundreds of newspapers in Charles M. Schultz’s beloved comic strip, Peanuts. Set to a delightful musical score, you’ll find the kite eating tree, the Red Baron, Lucy and the football, the great pumpkin, Lucy as psychiatrist, Charlie and the unapproachable red haired girl, Woodstock and so much more! Here are all the kids with nary an adult on the scene as they face their problems, express their joys, and give you one of the grandest and most entertaining theatre pleasures you’re likely to experience. Come and see your old friends — they will have you singing and smiling as you leave the theater! The stellar cast includes: Pat Sutton as Charlie Brown, Gina Marie Schwoerer as Lucy, Abrham Bogale as Snoopy, Brian S. Rothman as Linus, Kristin E. Hegel as Patty, and Peter Campagna as Schroeder.
