Often recognized as one of the most famous musicals ever written, GREASE follows the high school romance between Danny Zuko, a cool greaser, and Sandy Dumbrowski, a sweet, wholesome girl, who reconnect after a summer fling when Sandy unexpectedly transfers to Danny’s school, Rydell High. Danny struggles to maintain his tough image in front of his friends, causing friction with Sandy. As they navigate peer pressure, teenage cliques, and identity, both make changes for each other. The story ends with Sandy’s bold transformation and their joyous reconciliation, celebrating youth, love, and self-expression. GREASE is a love song to the 1950s and a cornerstone of the American musical comedy form. Join us as we kick off your “Summer Nights” with a little bit of “Greased Lightnin’”!
