Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
MISS SCARLET: Female, 30’s-early 40’s. A dry, sardonic D.C. madam, more interested in secrets than sex. She is beautiful, sexy, forthright, self-confident yet a very dangerous woman who has her own agenda, who can get what she wants by fair means or foul, and knows how to sweet-talk herself out of trouble. Really smart and really in charge, runs a very successful business-albeit a little nefarious. She is in control of her life as she sees it. She is a powerful woman who uses her sexuality to get what she wants, but she won’t be used by anybody else. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
MRS PEACOCK: Female, 40’s-50’s. The wealthy wife of a senator. A bit batty, neurotic, and quick to hysteria. The churchgoing wife of a senator, who has been accused of taking bribes for her husband. Very concerned with outward appearances and propriety. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
MRS WHITE: Female, 30’s-40’s. A morbid, and tragic woman. Mrs. White may or may not be the murderer of her five ex-husbands. She has a red-hot temper. Stoic, intelligent, and dangerous. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
COLONEL MUSTARD: Male, 40’s-50’s. A puffy, pompous, dense, blowhard of a military man. Behind his medals of honor are rumors of black-market deals and treasons; rumors that he’s been paying off to keep secrets for far too long. Likes women but doesn’t know how to talk to them. High-ranking military official who repeatedly attempts to take charge in various situations but is generally incompetent and rarely actually does anything. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
PROFESSOR PLUM: Male, 30’s-40’s. An arrogant academic, easily impressed by himself. An academic Casanova-sleazy and suggestive. Says he’s a psychiatrist working for the World Health Organization. His medical license was revoked after it was discovered that he slept with one of his patients. Arrogant and easily impressed by himself. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
Mr. GREEN: Male, 30’s-40’s. A timid State Department employee, a very officious rule follower. He’s awfully anxious and a bit of a klutz, must have the ability to play contrasting characters. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
YVETTE: Female, 20’s (Must have French accent) (Must be comfortable wearing a skimpy French maid outfit on stage) A loyal and very sexy French maid with her own secret aspirations. Was once an informant for Mr. Boddy and has previous connections to some of the guests. Yvette, at first glance, has refined mannerisms and appears innocent and flirtatious, but it’s nothing more than a façade; as the night progresses, she is shown to be less innocent as she first appeared. Must have excellent comic timing and physical comedy ability.
