Join the circus at Facetime Theatre’s Upcoming BARNUM

by Patricia Bradford

P.T. Barnum once said, “No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.” This is the hope that Facetime Theatre and directors, Paul and Michael Campbell-Trimbur, have in bringing Barnum to the stage.

This Tony award-winning musical tells the life story of P.T. Barnum from humble beginnings in Connecticut to master impresario and owner of the Greatest Show on Earth.

Come see the sights and wonders waiting under the Big Top–Jumbo, the Largest Elephant in the World; General Tom Thumb, only twenty-five inches tall; Joice Heth, the Oldest Woman Alive; and the Rarest and Most Beautiful Bird in Captivity, Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightingale!

Songs in the score by Cy Coleman and Michael Stewart include “There Is A Sucker Born Every Minute”, “The Colors Of My Life”, “One Brick At A Time”, “Come Follow The Band” and “Join The Circus”.

BARNUM stars David Schwartz (Barnum), Cara Nardone (Chairy Barnum), Vincent Tavani (Ringmaster), Michelle English (Jenny Lind), Alek Wasserman (Tom Thumb), Alondra Santos-Castillo (Joice Heth), Michele Kilmer (Blues Singer), with Hannah Westfall, Sarah Holderith, Laura Jenkins, Vanessa Rodriguez Maclean and Rachel Nolen. The set design is by Heidi Swartz. Musical Direction is by Kate Nice and Ben Potts.

BARNUM runs March 1, 2, 8, & 9 at 7:30pm and March 10 at 2:00pm at Facetime Theatre inside the Franklin Commons, 400 Franklin Avenue, Suite 109, Phoenixville, PA.
