by Patricia Bradford

“C’mon Everybody!” Put on those “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Let Yourself Go” as Forge Theatre opens its 57th Season with the rollicking, toe-tapping musical ALL SHOOK UP . The musical, with book by Joe DiPietro, is inspired by and features the music of Elvis Presley. It’s 1955, and into Square Town, USA rides a guitar playing “Roustabout” who changes everything and everyone he meets.

Director Tom Yenchick, Music Director Denise Wisneski, and Producer Christa Wisneski have assembled an exceptional cast of singers and actors who breathe new life into those well-worn standards such as “Jailhouse Rock”, “Love Me Tender” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. The hip-swiveling roustabout Chad, played by Nathaniel Swofford, is joined by fellow cast members Maria Leonetti (Natalie), Carey Rumpf (Jim), Nicole Napolitano (Sylvia), Abby Gould (Lorraine), Jordan Catagnus (Dennis), Melisse Weber (Miss Sandra), Kim Edmonds (Mayor Matilda Hyde), Zach Anderson (Dean Hyde) and Joe Beregi (Sheriff Earl). An impressive Ensemble includes Rosie Alleva, Mercedes Kathryn Duran, Ryan Edmonds, Tracy Flynn, Rachel Givler, Tom Groves, Richard Ledig, Cory McAdams, Kelly Murray, David Richman, Edwin Soto, Olga Skvortsova and Adam Van Aken. Rounding out the Production Team are Linda Blystone, (Stage Manager), Mercedes Kathryn Duran (Costumer), and Kelly Fitzgerald (Lights and Sound).
