Presented in an intimate three-quarter round/ thrust staging, this new romantic crime comedy, tells the story of Ric and Clay. “Clean-up crew” for the mob. They don’t make the dead bodies, they just dispose of them, but when Clay is outed as an FBI informant, it’s up to Ric to make his partner disappear. That’s a problem for Ric, because he loves Clay like a son. The solution? Before he does his partner in, he’s going to give him something he’s never had before. Enter: Immaculata, She’s charming, she’s goofy, and she just might save them all…
“I love getting characters stuck in a high stakes situation that requires a life or death change to get out of” playwright and director Dave Ebersole says. “The process of this play has been so collaborative, each of these actors have helped shape the way this play has finally turned out. It’s a rare experience to work with a great cast like this.”
“When you work on a new play you get to be a part of the process” says Dana Corvino who plays the character “It’s intimate, and real, and raw”. Jay Mazzola who plays the character of Clay continues “There’s gunplay, a little bit of sex, and baseball references for you sports enthusiasts. It’s a really great original work that deserves attention.”
ABSOLUTION stars Dana Corvino, Jay Mazzola, Walter Hamilton McCready, Charles Hoffman, and Lizzy Dalton-Negron and runs at 8pm on July 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29, and one matinee at 2pm on July 23. Tickets are $15.00 for evening shows $12.00 for matinees.
