by Patricia Bradford

The Forge Theatre, 241 First Ave in Phoenixville offers up a little bit of springtime with their next production; Neil Simon’s BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. This 1963 Tony Award winner for Best Play has been pleasing audiences for generations. The delightful story tells of newlyweds Paul and Corie; their new apartment, her Mother, nutty neighbors and more.

Director Steve Reazor has assembled a cast of fresh faced newcomers and stage veterans. Dona Marie Pizzo, and Samuel White play the newlyweds; Mary Ann Resnick, her Mother; Michael Zatuchni as the lothario Victor Velasco; with John Magolan and Bob Goretski completing the ensemble.

Barefoot will be presented February 27, 28, March 6,7,13, and 14 at 8PM; March 8 and 15 at 2 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for students. Reservations made me made by calling 610-935-1920 or logging onto www.showtix4u.com.
