Celebrate the end of summer with ACT Players’ Shakespeare in the Parks production of THE TEMPEST! Join us on a not-very-uninhabited island for Shakespeare’s intricate comedy of romance, revenge, politics, family, magic, and farce. Admission is free; pay what you will.

Prospero, the deposed duke of Milan, has been stranded on an island for twelve years with his daughter Miranda. Now, Prospero has conjured up a storm with the help of a magical spirit, Ariel, to shipwreck the King of Naples, his son and heir (Ferdinand), his trusty advisor (Gonzalo), his brother (Sebastian), and Prospero’s scheming brother (Antonio). Accompanied by original music, this fast-paced production features some of Shakespeare’s most beautiful language, comic misadventures, and memorable characters.

Experience this enchanting tale under the open sky in ACT Players’ outdoor production of THE TEMPEST. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle in beneath the stars, and enjoy an unforgettable evening of live theater.

Admission is pay what you wish, making this magical experience accessible to everyone. Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or discovering the Bard for the first time, all are welcome.

Rain or shine, the show goes on! In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved indoors to the Community Room at the park.
