WIT is a Pulitzer Prize-winning, one-act play by Margaret Edson about Vivian Bearing, a brilliant but emotionally detached English professor specializing in John Donne, who is diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. The play follows her journey through aggressive chemotherapy, forcing her to confront her own mortality and reassess her life as she shifts from a demanding teacher to a vulnerable patient, ultimately learning about compassion and what truly matters.
