Join us for a musical journey through the history of Broadway!
Broadway Through the Ages is a scripted, narrated musical revue that explores the evolution of Broadway from its Golden Age beginnings through today’s contemporary hits. Featuring songs, dances, and iconic moments from nearly a century of musical theatre, this production celebrates the storytelling that have shaped Broadway into the cultural force it is today.
Rehearsals will be LIMITED so be ready to work fast!
Audition Information:
Please prepare two contrasting 16- or 32-bar cuts, selecting Two of the below Broadway Eras and a song from each.
Songs do not need to be from the shows listed, but must fit the style and period of the era you are representing. If selected you may be asked to sing from your audition pieces or from another era.
Duets and small group auditions are encouraged! If you have friends you’d like to perform with, we would love to hear your ideas for featured numbers.
DANCERS/CHOREOGRAPHERS: We are also seeking dancers and would like to be a part of the show by creating a featured dance numbers representing the different Broadway eras. If there is a song, style, or era that inspires you, PLEASE fill out the form and pitch your dance number. You will need to provide your dancers.
Era 1: The Golden Age (1940s–1950s)
Classic, soaring melodies and the rise of the integrated book musical.

Era 2: The Age of Concept (1960s–1970s)
Broadway gets bold with rock influences, social commentary, and experimental storytelling.

Era 3: The Mega-musical & Pop Opera Era (1980s)
Spectacle, power ballads, and larger-than-life theatrical experiences.

Era 4: The New Wave (1990s–2000s)
Disney magic, rock musicals, and modern Broadway classics.
