Auditions for the musical, Guys and Dolls, are being held on Sunday March 1, 2pm and Monday, March 2, 7pm, at the Forge Theatre, 241 First Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. Snow date auditions, if needed, will be on Wednesday, March 3rd at 7pm. Info related to inclement weather will be posted on our website and social media profiles.
Auditions will consist of singing a prepared song (can be a song from the show, not a pop song or song that stresses belting, something in the style of the 1940’s or a standard of some kind) and movement, and cold readings from the script. Dancers for the Hot Box Girls will have additional movement audition requirements. Please bring your sheet music to provide our music director for your audition. Anyone trying out for the roles of Nathan Detroit, Miss Adelaide, Sky Masterson, Sarah Brown, Arvide Abernathy and Nicely-Nicely may be required to sing/learn a small portion of the solos that these roles require. We will have the music score for the show so songs can be done in their original broadway keys.
Roles include the following and are subject to change by the director:
Men’s roles: 8 speaking roles, not including ensemble
Women’s roles: 3 speaking roles, not including ensemble
