Chris – in her 50s – lively, outgoing
Annie – in her 50s – calm, more of a conformist
Cora – in her 40s – Eclectic – doesn’t have to have a perfect voice but needs to be able to sing well enough to start the show and play basic chords on the piano.
Jessie – late 60s/early 70s – A firecracker
Celia – can be between 35-50 – a contemporary, thinking-wise, of Chris
Ruth – in her 40s – Ruth’s journey is from false self-confidence to genuine self-confidence. The other women are protective of Ruth because they feel there is more to her than meets the eye.
Marie – in her 50s – Unsure but dedicated to the WI.
John – in his 50s – Annie’s husband who passes away during the play. A good guy.

Lawrence – late 20s – the photographer of the CALENDAR.
Lady Cravenshire – 60s – When she enters a room, she glides in like a galleon.
Elaine – 20s – The beautician who prepares the ladies for the calendar photoshoot,
Liam – late 20s – the director of the Calendar Girls photoshoot
