The familiar newsletter, often found in theatre lobbies or in the hands of actors and theatre devotees, was founded by Holley Webster, who served as its longtime publisher and editor for more than 32 years.
The first issue appeared in May 1976. Ms. Webster was awarded a Special Recognition Award Barrymore award in 1998 for her passionate commitment to local theatre and her creation of STAGE. At the age of 90, she stepped down as the magazine’s publisher.
