Based on the novel by Stephen King, the show features music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen. Carrie White is a misfit. At school, she’s an outcast who is bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she is at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother. But Carrie discovers that she has a special power, and that brings consequences. Those around her learn that, if pushed too far, Carrie is not afraid to use that power.
