The African savannah will come to life on Mainstage Center for the Arts’ stage in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. When Rafiki gathers the animals of the Pridelands to welcome the newborn heir, Simba, son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi, the King’s jealous brother, Scar, schemes to gain back the throne. When Simba is tricked into leaving the Pridelands, he meets a warthog and a meerkat who keep him safe and happy for years until he returns to reclaim his kingdom. The Lion King, Jr. runs July 19th and 20th, 7:30 pm and July 21st, 10:30 am. For tickets, visit www.mainstage.org or call (856) 227-3091. Patricia Bradford holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has performed, directed and produced theatre throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Ms. Bradford is founder and Managing Artistic Director of Bare Stage Theatre. Leading STAGE Magazine has become a consuming passion - one which combines her many artistic skills, theatrical contacts and administrative abilities.
