The Vagabond Performing Arts Academy at Steel River Playhouse announces auditions for Legally Blonde, Jr. Chelsea Barnett (Director) and Stephen Fisher (Music Director) welcome you to auditions. Here’s what you need to know!

Open to all kids/teens ages 12 to 18!

Auditions will be held:
• Sunday, May 21st 4pm-7pm
• Tuesday, May 23rd 6pm-9pm

Callbacks by Invitation Only:
• Wednesday, May 24th 6pm-9pm

What to Prepare:
•16-32 bars of a musical theater song. Please bring sheet music and have it clearly marked for the accompanist. Please DO NOT sing from the show.
• A roughly one minute monologue, memorized if possible.
• Bring a resume and head shot if you have it, if you don’t have a head shot, any picture is fine.

Performances:
• There will be four performances the weekend of August 25-27, exact times to be announced.

All auditions are by appointment only:
Contact casting@steelriver.org to get an appointment. When you contact casting, you will get an audition form and a performer’s contract that goes over the guidelines for being in the show, and a blank calendar to provide conflicts.

Please be prepared to provide ALL conflicts for the rehearsal period from mid-June to late August. Conflicts are okay, but must be provided at time of audition or cannot be honored.

The rehearsal schedule will be primarily during the week in the evenings and the initial read-thru will be determined based on cast availability.

A mandatory parent meeting will follow the first read through.

Patricia Bradford holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has performed, directed and produced theatre throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Ms. Bradford is founder and Managing Artistic Director of Bare Stage Theatre. Leading STAGE Magazine has become a consuming passion - one which combines her many artistic skills, theatrical contacts and administrative abilities. She is thrilled to be carrying on the vision that was begun by Holley Webster over 30 years ago, and leading STAGE to new levels of success.
