Auditions for Forge Theatre’s 1 Actstravaganza
Forge Theatre proudly presents – 1 ACTStravaganza – a delightful evening of one act comedies – this July 20, 21, 22, 23 (matinee).
Open auditions will be held at the theatre, 241 First Avenue in Phoenixville, Monday April 17th and Wednesday April 19th @ 7PM.

Here is a breakdown of the works being presented:

Teddy – directed by Burt Merriam – Cast 3F, 3M, some flexibility
A profane cat faces a series of catastrophes at the hands of his well- intended master and an overzealous veterinarian but somehow, he perseveres.

Chair Trilogy – directed by Mercedes Duran – Cast – 6F, 2M
A single chair acts as a thread that connects three touching vignettes, each of which examines the complexities of a relationship.

Must the Show Go On – directed by Amy Borla – Cast 1F, 3M
A drunk in the tech booth, a sick actor, and a busted zipper – can the actors pull off opening night when everything is going wrong?

Cadaver Lab – directed by Phyllis Bastarache – Cast – 2F, 2M, some flexibility
An oddball look at one med student’s interaction with her new friend, her assigned cadaver – one who likes to crack jokes.

Civil Strife – directed by Burt Merriam – Cast – 1F, 2M
This subtle battle of the sexes is played out in the comfortable home of an American upper-crust couple, but just who is the winner?

Mind Games – directed by Mercedes Duran – Cast – 2F
What do games like Boggle, Risk, Poker tell you about yourself? An introspective view of one’s self via gaming strategy.

Tree Animal – directed by Suki – Cast – 1F
Will there be any compromise when an overbearing mother tries to get her stubborn child to come down out of a tree?

Patricia Bradford holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has performed, directed and produced theatre throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Ms. Bradford is founder and Managing Artistic Director of Bare Stage Theatre. Leading STAGE Magazine has become a consuming passion - one which combines her many artistic skills, theatrical contacts and administrative abilities. She is thrilled to be carrying on the vision that was begun by Holley Webster over 30 years ago, and leading STAGE to new levels of success.
