AUDITIONS (Non – Union) for THE ROSES IN JUNE, a new play by Timothy M. Kolman. Produced by Seagull Productions. Associate Producer Susanne Sulby. Directed by Stephen Stahl.
Show opens at Plays and Players Theatre in Philadelphia for a limited run from June 14th through July 1, 2017. Eight shows a week. One performance a night Tuesday through Friday. Two performances (matinee and evening shows) on Saturdays and Sundays.
Day time rehearsals for 3 ½ weeks starting May 19th through June 11th from Noon until 6 pm Monday through Sunday. June 12, 13 and 14th –three/ 10 hour out of 12 hour days. Mondays Off. Rehearsal pay is $250.00 a week. Performance pay is $350.00 a week.

INGRID ROSE – Early 40S. She is a Jewish refugee who came to England from Berlin during the kindertransport. She has an English accent tinged with German.
PAUL ROSE – Actor needs to play 15/16 years of age. Role is opened to 18 years of age or slightly older. He is English born.
GEORGE ROSE – Early 40s. He came to England from Berlin during the kindertransport. He is a self-made man. He has an English accent tinged with German.
NIGEL TAPLOW – Early to mid-50s. He is the headmaster of Saint Crispin’s School. He is ex-army, very protective of his career and unable to shift with the changing times.
COLIN DAVIS – Early 40s. He is one of the house masters at Saint Crispin’s School. He has dedicated his life to teaching boys. He is decent, fair and a brilliant academic.
DOCTOR AMIN – He is mid-40s, a Muslim originally from Pakistan now practicing his profession in England. He is a fair and righteous man.
ABDUL AMIN – Actor needs to play 15/16 years of age. Role is opened to 18 years of age or slightly older. He has become radicalized, unrepentant and unapologetic. He is English Born.
Prepare a one-minute monologue. Bring picture a resume. You might be asked to read from the script.

Auditions are in Center City Philadelphia during business hours on March 18th and 19th. Callbacks the afternoon of the 19th. If you have conflicts please do not replay.
