Forge Theatre Announces: THREE VIEWINGS

by Patricia Bradford

Forge Theatre (214 First Ave.in Phoenixville, PA, 19460) proudly announces the opening of their special Summer production of THREE VIEWINGS, by Jeffrey Hatcher – for five performances only – July 22, 23, 29, 30 @ 8 and July 24 @ 2. General admission is $15 and advance reservations are available @ 610-935-1920 or @ forgetheatre.org.

For those who cannot wait until September for our season opener, THE BOYS NEXT DOORR, consider attending this unique, humorous, and powerful presentation. This amazing cast will move you to laughter and tears.
Yes, Forge was originally a funeral home and that is indeed the setting, but there are no dead bodies or coffins. The three characters take you through their backstories as well as that of their loved ones. If you listen carefully, you will notice subtle references to ways in which their lives have crossed – kind of a “six degrees of separation”.

This beautifully written gem does not overplay the themes of death and loss. Rather, the three comic/dramatic storylines are both poignant and humorous as they interweave to portray the deceased and the bereaved, and the length to which survivors go to hold on to memories, money, life, and love.
